John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani promise right balance of content and commerce from Satyameva Jayate to Batla House John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani promise right balance of content and commerce from Satyameva Jayate to Batla House Exactly a year back when Satyameva Jayate had released, history was created. Despite a heads-on clash with Gold, the action entertainer had taken a superb start at the box office. In fact it was the biggest ever for an A rated film (till Kabir Singh arrived this year). Moreover, for both John Abraham as well as producer Nikkhil Advani, this was the biggest opening ever that a film of theirs had taken. The good run didn't just end here as the Milap Zaveri directed action drama ended up covering a good distance and emerged as a big hit in theatres. Circa 2019 and yet again, Nikkhil and John are coming together for an Independence Day release, Batla House. This time around, Nikkhil is donning the hat of a director as well (in addition to producing the film through his Emmay Entertainment) and if the vibes so far are any indication, the film seems to be in the zone of D-Day, the filmmaker's most critically acclaimed film till date. As for John Abraham, he is being seen in a uniform all over again, something that he has enjoyed umpteenth number of times with Parmanu - The Story of Pokharan being his biggest success story in such a role where he played an army officer. What makes this combination of John Abraham and Nikkhil Advani special is that the fact that they have an eye on keeping the balance right between content and commerce. Satyameva Jayate could well have turned out to be yet another revenge drama but then it went beyond that with fiery dialogues, music and some sensitive moments interspersed into the narrative well enough to give it a well-rounded appeal. Now Batla House is expected to go to the next level, what with the real life tale of the (in)famous real life encounter being brought on screen. Considering the fact that this one too has a sensitive issue at the centre of affair, both Nikkhil and John have been conscious about telling things as they were without compromising on the core theme that the film carries. Moreover, the very subject of the film warrants the kind of treatment which has class attached to it with an eye on the masses as well. Since Nikkhil Advani is the man at the helm of affairs, one expects the kind of cinematic offering on screen that would keep the audiences engaged. As for John Abraham, he is enjoying the time of his life as an actor and if the promo is any indication, he has delivered his career best performance. As a no-nonsense senior cop who has a job in hand and is also a patriot at heart, John plays a character who comes with a knack of distinguishing right from wrong. One look at the kind of body language, mannerisms and dialogue delivery that he is offering in the film (at least on the basis of the promo so far) indicates a mature performance from the actor who has been around for over a decade and a half. The stage is set, the buzz is just right and the curiosity is there amongst audience to check out what Batla House has to offer. All one expects now is a good mix of class and mass appeal from this biggie. Also Read: High Court adjourns plea to postpone the release of John Abraham starrer Batla House https://ift.tt/2GVJyNy
