CL proves she is an ‘alpha’ in ‘Tie a Cherry’ music video from first studio album The much awaited studio album of the K-pop queen CL is here and it’s glorious. After facing several hurdles and quite long waiting period, South Korean singer-rapper-songwriter Lee Chae Rin, better known by her stage name CL is back to snatch hearts. With her striking lyrics and flawless execution of choreographies and her fierce personality, she is officially setting the standard. CL has officially released the album Alpha and its title track ‘Tie a Cherry’. The music video for ‘Tie a Cherry’ was dropped at 1pm (KST). The fierce video of the title track once again proved that she is ‘the alpha’. From glamorous bling gowns to quirky hairstyles and boxing gloves, CL perfectly ‘tied the cherry’ on top. The track starts off with her distinct rap voice as she raps about trusting oneself and staying confident no matter how hard it gets. Her strong vocals in bilingual song can also be witnessed in the pre-chorus part. She also creates a nude illusion as she plays with the camera in flesh-tinted lingerie while hiding behind a wall.The music video also makes use of VFX to create several faces that fall from her face. The k-pop star has been teasing ‘Alpha’ since 2020 as she pre-released tracks from the album- ‘Hwa’, ‘5 Star’, ‘Spicy’ and ‘Lover Like Me’.The most recent release made by CL from ‘Alpha’ was single ‘Lover Like Me’ . The track was dropped earlier in September that hinted at the dynamic albumthat showcased her vocals and rapping skills that proved she is an all-rounder. Since the 11-track album came out on October 20, fans have been trending #CListheALPHA. The tracklist of the album includes 'Spicy',  'Lover Like Me', 'Chuck', 'Xai',  'Let It',  'Tie a Cherry',  'Paradise',  'My Way',  'Siren',  'Hwa' and'5 Star'.  ‘Tie a Cherry’ is penned by CL, along with Nick Lee who is popularly known for Lil Nas X’s ‘Industry Baby’ and produced by her own label Very Cherry. Earlier this year, CL also made her MET Gala debut wearing an Alexander Wang outfit, making her one of two Korean artists to make an appearance on the red carpet. With many second-generation popular idols who went into anonymity, CL broke the pattern and dominated the K-pop industry as the 'Queen of K-pop' since 2013. CL first began her solo career in 2015 and released several singles and an EP since then butwith the track ‘Hello Bitches’, which is still going viral on TikTok in 2021, is regarded as a breakthrough and made her the most influential figures to help spread the Korean Wave.
