The music video begins with the five members of TOMORROW X TOGETHER running on a fantastical Magic Island, away from the impending frost. In the following scene, we see a subway station. Breaking news overhead announces the emergence of a sinkhole in Seoul. With a small bead, the five boys open a passage to the Magic Island and encounter a fortune teller. The individuals each receive a card that foretells their destinies and are transported to their preordained fates: burning ancient city, a desert, a fractile cave, a tree in a sea of sky, and a maze of mirrors. Each boy breaks through to witness frost overtaking the Magic Island and escape to the safety of the real world. By Taehyun's hand as the boys catch their breaths in relief lies the fortune teller’s book extracted from the Magic Island. 'Frost' tells the story of a boy who learns of his given fate, and likens his confused and chaotic state of mind to "frost." The track bears a connection to TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s original story The Star Seekers, a coming-of-age story of five special boys. The song is a Trap-based Hyperpop track that juxtaposes TOMORROW X TOGETHER’s experimental sound with rough percussion and heavy bass lines. It is the collaborative work of London-based artist Ashnikko for songwriting and TOMORROW X TOGETHER member YEONJUN for lyrics.
