Recently, actor Shahid Kapoor praised Samantha Akkineni for her performance in ‘The Family Man 2’. The actor also expressed his desire to work with her in future.
In a Q&A session with his fans on Twitter, Shahid recently replied to many questions asked by his fans. When one asked about his thoughts on Samantha’s performance in ‘The Family man 2’, Shahid replied, “Totally loved her on the show. Would love to work with her sometime.”

Samantha made her Hindi digital debut with ‘The Family Man 2’ where she played the role of the Sri Lankan Tamil Liberation fighter Raji. Earlier, the actress received a lot of flak from political leaders. On May 19, Rajya Sabha member and MDMK leader Vaiko in a letter to the Information and Broadcasting Minister Prakash Javadekar stated, “These descriptions have hurt the sentiments of Tamil people and Tamil culture and are offensive against the Tamil community. The people of Tamil Nadu are raising serious objections over such an act and are protesting against the Serial.”
Tamil Nadu Minister T Mano Thangaraj in a letter to Prakash Javadekar, also wrote, “Branding Tamil-speaking actress Samantha as a terrorist in the serial is directly an attack on the pride of Tamils living around the world and no one will tolerate this kind of motivated and mischievous campaign.”
Samantha had even rendered an apology stating that she did not intend to hurt anyone's sentiments. After the release of the show, however, Samantha also received a lot of praise for her tremendous act.
'The Family Man 2' also starred Manoj Bajpayee and Priyamani in lead roles.
