Bollywood actress Sonakshi Sinha had deactivated her Twitter account a month ago to get rid of negativity on the platform. The actress has now launched a new initiative - an interview format show titled Ab Bas. The aim of the show is to put an end to cyberbullying and trolling by having an informative conversation.
On Tuesday, Sonakshi Sinha took to Instagram to share the first episode which explains cyber bullying, harassment and trolling. Sharing the video, Sonakshi wrote, “Ab Bas ???????? Episode 1Let us put an end to the pandemic of Cyber bullying and trolling!It's time to stop ignoring all these nameless tormentors sitting behind a screen and putting out bad, vulgar comments, remarks and threats. It's time to put a FULL STOP to cyber bullying and trolling.”
In the first episode, Sonakshi is in conversation with Special IGP of Maharashtra Police, Shri Pratap Dhigavkar and special cyber investigator Ritesh Bhatia. “Trying to understand the basics of what exactly is cyberbullying and trolling and how it can affect one's life,” she added.
Sonakshi Sinha has often been on the receiving end of trolls on social media. However, in the past few months, several Bollywood celebroties have been on the receiving of hateful and abusive messages and even death and rape threats.
Exiting from Twitter on June 20, Sonakshi wrote, “The first step to protecting your sanity is to stay away from negativity.”
