Recently, the director Mrigdeep Singh Lamba dropped a hint at working on the third part of the film. He shared a meme featuring actors Pankaj Tripathi, Ali Fazal, Varun Sharma and Pulkit Samrat. In the picture, Pankaj Tripathi's character Pandit ji can be seen conversing with the other three. A dialogue bubble is added in the frame which reads, "Teesra part taiyyar ho raha hai (The third part is in the making)" Along with this meme, the director also shared two other pictures of Pankaj Tripathi.
