Sajid Nadiadwala opens up on why it isn’t easy to make a film for Salman Khan In 2014, we saw the release of the Salman Khan starrer Kick that went on to become Salman's and also director Sajid Nadiadwala’s first Rs. 200 cr grosser. Now, there has been buzz going on about Kick 2. In an interview with Bollywood Hungama, filmmaker Sajid Nadiadwala opened up on why making a film for Salman Khan is no easy task. Revealing why making a film that will feature Salman Khan in the lead is a daunting task, Sajid Nandiadwala explains, “For me Salman Khan is a friend. Since the past 25 years we have been buddies. But that is different. He is a big star in the country and to make something for him is not easy. So while you write something organically it comes out. After completing 10-12 pages, when you think of him and his fan following you start to shake. Also I have given Kick as a debut, and it was both Salman and my first Rs. 200 cr film, it put a lot of pressure.” Concluding his reasoning about why there is more pressure with Kick 2, Sajid continues, “See with Kick, I was new to direction, so I was a perfect student who did his homework reached the set on time, and then went home and continued with my homework. Also Salman Khan, my DoP and my entire team helped me. This went a long way and we were able to make a good film.
