Sajid Nadiadwala continues his trend of family films as Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 gets U certificate Sajid Nadiadwala continues his trend of family films as Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 gets U certificate In the industry for over 25 years and after having made an equal number of films, Sajid Nadiadwala is now ready with his latest offering Super 30 which hits the screens this Friday. The Hrithik Roshan starrer has been granted a U certificate and that is yet another addition to the family entertainers that the filmmaker has been dishing out ever since the start of his career. “The censors felt that the film has a core theme of education and basically propagates the message of right to education for every child. It is a very noble theme and since the film has been narrated in a very entertaining manner, there is a wider segment of audience that it is set to reach out. There is drama, yes, but nothing so intense out there that kids would be uncomfortable. In fact every kid, especially the ones who start young when it comes to preparing for higher studies, should watch the film,” informs our source. Something that Sajid Nadiadwala too had envisioned when he decided to back the film. “Sajid makes all sort of films, be it comedies, love stories, period dramas or thrillers. However one thing that he is always very sure of is that he wants family audiences to watch his films. His production house has been named Nadiadwala Grandson for a reason. There is a legacy attached to it and he wants that to be carried forward film after film. His biggest successes like Kick (which he directed himself), Baaghi, Housefull and Judwaa franchises - all of these have worked with universal audiences and that’s because he plans it all that way,” says close associate of the filmmaker. That’s the kind of vision that he carried for Super 30 as well which sees director Vikas Bahl tell the true story of an existing iconic figure Anand Kumar who has been selflessly putting together his batch of Super 30. “Sajid developed an emotional connect with the subject and he wants the best platform for the film to play,” our source adds, “The final product has turned out quite well and has ample ingredients in there which would make audiences, especially school and college students, relate to what plays on screen. Same holds true for the parents as well since in India especially, education is considered as sacrosanct for them all. Every parent wants the best for his children and Super 30 only takes that message forward. It is just apt that the film has been granted a certificate for universal audience.” With the film just being days away from release, it would be interesting to see how the final product has indeed turned out to be.
