She was known as the Kapoor matriarch for years and her demise came as a shock not only to the family but even well-wishers and fans. Unfortunately, Rishi Kapoor couldn’t fly down and spend time with his family during this time because the actor was in U.S for his treatment. Just two days after the actor announced that he is flying to foreign land on social media, Krishna Raj Kapoor breathed her last, which was on October 1. Expressing his sorrow and grief over the same, the actor stated that it was a very traumatic period for him. It has been 10 months since the incident and Rishi Kapoor decided to speak about it now, while he is on his road to recovery. Readers would be aware that Rishi Kapoor suffered from cancer and the actor has been in the U.S for all this while as he was undergoing an extensive treatment for the same. His son Ranbir Kapoor too has been shuttling between two countries in the past few months to spend time with his father and his mother Neetu Kapoor who has accompanied him there. Speaking about his mother Krishna Raj Kapoor, Rishi mentioned that he was caught up with his problem and couldn’t leave New York. He reminisced about how his brother Randhir Kapoor told him that by the time he would come back, it would be too late. Further, the veteran Kapoor also mentioned that he wasn’t in a condition to come back. But the testing times have been left behind and now Rishi Kapoor is recouping from cancer. By the end of this next month, that is August, the actor is expected to return to the bay and if all goes well, he will soon also be resuming work.
