While Bollywood woke up to the shocking news of Rishi Kapoor flying to the U.S amidst a hectic shoot schedule, many were taken aback. Followed by that, the veteran actor had taken to social media to assure his fans and others that he is fine and that he has taken off to the country for a treatment and will soon be back. Although he didn’t divulge details about his ailment, there were soon reports of him suffering from cancer. It was only recently that the Kapoor family members spoke about it but along with that, they also gave good news that the actor is recovering from it and will return to India soon. Now, Rishi Kapoor has decided to speak about it, his reaction and how Ranbir Kapoor forced him into a flight. Speaking about the day, he was diagnosed with cancer, Rishi Kapoor stated that it was just like any other day and he was on the sixth day of shooting for a film in Delhi. Ranbir Kapoor arrived on the sets along with a close family associate and the two of them explained the situation to the team and soon took Rishi to Mumbai. From there, Rishi was taken to board a flight to the U.S. The veteran Kapoor star went on to add that he didn’t have any time to react or introspect and that his son Ranbir Kapoor had to force him to take the flight. However, he also added that the acceptance comes gradually. On the other hand, he also spoke about how these three months have been in the U.S. He maintained that he hasn’t taken a long break from his work for this long and that it hasn’t been over nine and half months since he boarded a flight. He maintained that he has been in New York for all this while and finally, now, he is planning to go Hamptons which is a three-hour drive away. He concluded by stating that he is glad that his family and his well-wishers are always by his side.
