The film will be helmed by David Dhawan. As the makers plan to go on floor in August, Varun and Sara are set to reprise Govinda and Karisma Kapoor's roles in the remake. While the announcement for the film and release date has been made, there aren't any pictures of the lead actors together which have been released yet. On Thursday night, it was the first time the pair was seen together. The original Student Of The Year Varun Dhawan attended the screening of Student Of The Year 2. Sara was also in attendance. The two of them, while leaving the venue, posed together for the paparazzi. Varun kept it casual in white t-shirt and blue denims whereas, Sara looked beautiful in an orange dress. Coolie No 1 will reportedly star Paresh Rawal reprising late actor Kader Khan's role. Besides that, the makers plan to recreate two original numbers 'Husn Hai Suhana’ and 'Main Toh Raste Se Ja Raha Tha’. The film is set for May 1, 2020 release.
