Anurag Kashyap has landed there with actresses Taapsee Pannu and Bhumi Pednekar to shoot for Saand Ki Aankh, a true-life bio-pic on the two iconic matriarchs of the village Daadi Chandro and Daadi Prakasho. The two actresses playing the roles are already forming an infuriatingly uncontroversial bonding. Laughs Taapsee from Johri, “For those expecting catfights between me and Bhumi, sorry to disappoint you. We’re getting along just fine. In fact we’re already bonding beyond the camera. When we’re not shooting we talk about the local food, places to visit everything except our film together. In fact we don’t talk about cinema when we are not shooting.” Taapsee says the locals have extended a heart-warming hospitality to the crew. “The villagers throng the location in the wintry nights, not the least caring about the chill. They stand for hours silently staring at our shooting. The fact that a film is being made on the two most distinguished women of Johri gives them a sense of pride.” Taapsee says that unlike Kashyap’s other films Saand Ki Aankh is a happy film. “Anurag Kashyap is such a funny happy person in real life. I don’t why that joy doesn’t show up in his cinema. I can only assure you he won’t do dark film with me. Manmarziyan and now Saand Ki Aankh are films radiating happiness.
