Dangal girl Sanya Malhotra sashayed on the ramp, channeling an über-cool and athleisure chic vibe. The runway that was laden with discarded plastic bottles served as the perfect backdrop for the show with a cause. The collection presented in collaboration with the brand, Roshan Baid’s Alcis Sports aimed at bringing sustainability to gym wear. The collection entirely made out of recycled polyester sourced from PET bottles incorporated the latest technologies like dry-tech, anti-odour and anti-static. The collection featured T-shirts, joggers, bombers, blazers, layered jackets and leggings in prints inspired by Indian textiles and Indian art. Here is a closer look. A pair of black sneakers, signature curls and minimal makeup rounded out her look. The show also drove home a poignant point on sustainability and recycling by picking up the discarded plastic bottles into large cotton tote bags.
