The award-winning airline is also the Official Airline Partner for the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition, an unforgettable event where glamour meets luxury. The exhibition will also feature a dedicated Indian Pavilion where the latest and finest jewellery designed by well-known Indian designers will be showcased. These exquisite and intricate designed jewellery pieces will reflect the strong heritage and exceptional craftsmanship of the nation of India. The pavilion is also featured at a significant time as both the nations of Qatar and India continue to celebrate the Qatar-India Year of Culture 2019. Rai was honoured with the Padma Shri by the Government of India in 2009 and the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the Government of France in 2012. She has often been cited in the media as "the most beautiful woman in the world" and was the first Indian actress to represent her country as a jury member at the Cannes Film Festival. A frontrunner in the global jewellery market, the Doha Jewellery & Watches Exhibition is open to all jewellery and watch connoisseurs, and provides an unmissable opportunity for guests to engage with brands and designers in an exclusive atmosphere. The exhibition will also welcome several international newcomers to the 2019 edition including Tiffany & Co. and L’Atelier du Bracelet Parisien. Visitors to the exhibition will also have the opportunity to exclusively experience Qatar Airways’ award winning Business Class seat, Qsuite, which will be on display at the show. Qsuite features the industry’s first-ever double bed in Business Class and allows passengers in adjoining seats to create their own private space. Adjustable panels and movable TV monitors enable colleagues, friends or families travelling together to transform their quad into a private suite, allowing them to work, dine and socialise together. Qatar Airways introduced its revolutionary Qsuite Business Class experience on the Mumbai and Bengaluru routes in July 2018, both of which are served by a Boeing B777 aircraft, in India. In February 2018, the award-winning airline introduced its state-of-the-art Airbus A350-900 on its Delhi route. Qatar Airways was the global launch customer for this aircraft, which features a two-class configuration of 283 seats in total, offering 36 in Business Class and 247 in Economy Class. Qatar Airways currently operates a modern fleet of more than 230 aircraft via its hub, Hamad International Airport (HIA) to more than 160 destinations worldwide.The airline has launched an array of exciting new destinations recently, including Gothenburg, Sweden; Mombasa, Kenya and Da Nang, Vietnam.
