While Badhaai Ho received a great response at the box office, Sanya's performance in Pataakha was much-acclaimed by the critics and the audience. But, it had been a while she put up some dance video. As she had suffered injury, she wasn't able to dance for a while. But, now the actress is back with her dance video which is on Punjabi track 'Lamberghini'. The Punjabi song 'Lamberghini' was one of the chart-topping numbers of 2018. Sanya Malhotra's choreographer friend Shazeb Sheikh shared the dance video and revealed that she had learnt the dance before her injury but could not shoot the due to it. Now, she is back and showing off her slick dance moves. He captioned the video as, "When I choreographed this song I made it for her, unfortunately she got injured, this choreography has received a lot of love but the journey wasn’t complete without her doing this." On the work front, Sanya Malhotra’s next film starring Nawazuddin Siddiqui, directed by Ritesh Batra Photograph will be screened at Sundance Film Festival 2019.
