A courtesy meeting turned into a very uplifting dialogue. The meeting consisted of Ranveer Singh, Ranbir Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Rajkummar Rao, Bhumi Pednekar, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, and Ekta Kapoor. The meeting was held to talk about how the industry has always played an important role building a better nation, a better society through entertainment. The young generation of the film industry spoke about various issues concerning the Industry and thanked and acknowledged PM for GST change and giving space to the industry to connect. Many interesting ideas were discussed and the young delegation is excited to contribute more with more energy for the country. In December 2018, a delegation representing the film and entertainment industry comprised of film producers and CEOs of companies in the entertainment industry had met PM Modi. The delegation included prominent film producers such as Karan Johar, Bhushan Kumar, Ritesh Sidhwani, Siddharth Roy Kapur, Rakesh Roshan, Ronnie Screwvala, Mahaveer Jain, Sajid Nadiadwala, Puneet Goenka, Ajay Bijli, Nitesh Tiwari, Uday Shankar, Ajay Devgn, Vijay Singh – CEO – Fox Star Studios and Prasoon Joshi, the chairman of the Central Board of Film Certification.
