Vikrant Massey returns to work after six months; confides he feared going to the sets After a six month hiatus, showbiz is slowly but steadily getting back on its feet. Many actors have begun shooting for their projects, some new and some unfinished ones. Known to be a professional, Vikrant Massey has also returned to the sets to shoot for the commercial of a brand. The shoot took place in Madh Island (Mumbai) earlier this week across two days. Talking about the shoot, Vikrant confides that he was scared to go back to a set and begin shooting for the fear of contracting the coronavirus. “I won't deny that I feared [being on] a set. We are so consumed with work that we may sometimes forget to maintain physical distancing. I’m worried that people on my unit may contract the virus, which is scary because a vaccine has yet to be developed. It helps that all safety precautions were in place. I took my time, gauged the scenario and then took the leap,” he says. The actor believes that it is important to take all necessary precautionary measures to keep health risks at bay. He reveals that the unit was cut down to half to adhere to the norms of social distancing in a more effective manner. He says, “Due to fewer people, the pace of work has slowed down. Everyone on the set, except actors, wore masks all the time. Shoots don't feel the same; it will take us a while to go back to normal.” Vikrant recently had a release with Cargo, which is being hailed as one of India’s first sci-fi film, where he plays a human-demon that prepares recently deceased people for rebirth. His sensitive portrayal of a vulnerable ‘raakshas’ has resonated with fans and the critics alike. Vikrant, currently, has his kitty full. He is gearing up for the digital premiere of Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare. Next month, he will start the patchwork for Haseen Dilruba. Apart from these, he will start shooting for 14 Phere in November and has Ginny Weds Sunny slated for a release soon.
