Urmila Matondkar says she has no qualms in saying sorry to Kangana Ranaut for her ‘rudali’ comment Things have heated up between actors Urmila Matondkar and Kangana Ranaut. The Rangeela star criticized Kangana for making vicious statements against Jaya Bachchan and complaining about mistreatment in the film industry. She reportedly made a comment on Kangana calling her ‘Rudali’. Now, the actress says that she has no qualms in saying sorry to Kangana Ranaut. “I said rudali in a certain context, and if at all it was offensive, I have absolutely no qualms in saying I am sorry about it. Maybe not her, maybe the people who support her so dearly. So I am sorry if anything like that has gone out of context. It doesn’t make me small,” she said. While speaking to Barkha Dutt for Mojo, Urmila said, “It was used by me in a context. I have not understood why a person constantly chooses to only play a victim card. You and I can also do that,” she said. “When you have had such a long and lovely career in the industry, which has given you so much, are you trying to say that there was nothing good about it? There was not a single person, day, anything that happened good?,” she added. Reacting to Urmila’s recent statements, Kangana Ranaut spoke to Times Now recently & said, “She isn’t known for acting for sure and is known for doing soft porn. If she can get a ticket, why won’t I get a ticket.” In the same interview with Barkha Dutt, Urmila responded by saying, "I don't think I have anything more to say. It's shocking that while Kangana was saying all these things on national television the anchor, who also happens to be a woman, had a mad glee and crazy smile on her face. I think we should bow out and give way to this new feminism that has come up in the country.” "I am deeply touched by the kind of response and support that I have been receiving from the people of this country. As I speak now, I don't have any political leader backing me. That said, I am also wondering whether those who had condemned Shiv Sena's alleged slurs against Kangana will do the same thing in my case too. The Women's Commission should really take note of the remark hurled at me. I cannot understand this selective reaction,” she further said.
