Actor Ishaan Khatter will be back this year with his third film, Khaali Peeli starring opposite Ananya Panday. While we’ve witnessed the teaser already, Ishaan shared a series of first-look photos from the film.
Ishaan Khatter shared three photos on Instagram today in which he is sporting a Khaki uniform worn by taxi drivers in Mumbai. He is seen lighting up a cigarette and in another picture enjoying cutting chai. “First look test.. BLACKIE. Man, what a blast this one has been. Thank you @macriaan for giving me one of my favourite characters so far. Been a year since we first began production on Khaali Peeli and things have really come back serendipitously in a full circle. Starting and ending on the same studio floor. Gearing up. Time for blast off,” he captioned the photo.
Earlier, Bollywood Hungama had EXCLUSIVELY reported that Ali Abbas Zafar’s production Khaali Peeli was confirmed for a digital release. However, it seems like instead of Netflix, it will go on Zee5. “The talks were on with Netflix and Zee 5, with both the platforms showing keen interest in bagging the rights, however eventually, it’s Zee 5 who has added it to their library. While Ali and his studio partner, Zee Studios, were keen on holding back the film for a theatrical release, the current scenario on ground with respect to nepotism debate made them rethink on the decision and they have finally decided for a direct to digital release,” a source told Bollywood Hungama. The film is touted to be a quintessential commercial entertainer with song, dance and action.
