EXCLUSIVE: Tara Sutaria on the backlash that her song ‘Masakali 2.0’ received – “I understand that people didn’t like it” Actor Tara Sutaria, who was last seen in Marjaavaan, has multiple projects in the pipeline. A few months ago, her song ‘Masakali 2.0’ from Marjaavaan starring Sidharth Malhotra released as a single. The recreation of Delhi 6 song received a lot of backlash on social media. Even the original music composer AR Rahman and director Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra had directed the netizens to the original track. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Tara Sutaria spoke about the criticism of the song. “I have to be very honest, not many people know this, but I am not very good with technology and phone. So, half the time, I am not aware of what people are saying,” she said. “I had lots of fun shooting that song and I love the original song. It was fun to dance to it. I do have read the comments and discussions that people were having – not to the extent other actors would have if that were their song. I think that’s a good thing in some ways.  I respect everyone's opinion. Unless it's constructive criticism or it's criticism that I feel okay that's fair enough, I don't really think about these things too much because there's so much else to do.” She added, “I totally respect the fact that it was not necessarily well-received by a lot of people and that’s going to happen – in my career and in someone else’s career. I understand that people didn’t like it. Everyone is justified to have their own opinion. I am a music lover. I have been very fortunate to have worked with T-series and such wonderful music directors, composers, and writers. It is that one song that was not necessarily well-received but some people and that’s okay.” Tara Sutaria, on the work front, will next star in Ek Villain sequel and RX 100 remake, Tadap.
