Shreya said that when she was younger becoming an actor did not seem to be an achievable dream as she was not aware of how to go about the process. She said that she did not know where auditiones happened and how she could land one. It was during her final year of college that she came across casting groups on Facebook that were putting out messages. She came across a message which said that popular casting director Mukesh Chhabra was auditioning for an ad. Shreya said that most casting companies have a good system where once you do an intro or audition with them, you get listed in their bank of actors and get opportunities to audition in the future. Shreya reveals this is how she landed every project she has done so far. Shreya did her first audition for an ad for Abhishek Kapoor and eventually bagged the job. The actress has also been a part of a short film written and directed by Imtiaz Ali. After doing several ads, she landed the lead role in Bandish Bandits. Shreya plays the role of a pop star in the musical web series directed by Anand Tiwari.
