EXCLUSIVE: Tamannaah Bhatia opens up on helping 10,000 migrant labourers amid lock-down To contain the spread of Covid-19, the country is under a lock-down for a month now and has been extended till 3rd May. Among the worst hit communities are the migrant labourers, who are out employment and wage right now. People from all walks of life, including stars from the film industry, have come forward, offering help. One among them is actor Tamannaah Bhatia, who has joined hands with an NGO called Let's All Help and helped 10,000 migrant labourers stranded in Mumbai. Through LAH, one can donate food and hygiene kits, and also choose who to donate to. Speaking to Bollywood Hungama, Tamannaah revealed that in the past, she was skeptical about donating money to various charitable funds as the transparency of those funds is always a question. But when the idea of LAH was explained to her, she felt it would a convenient platform for many who weren't able to go out and help the needy but would like to contribute. "When Premal came to me with this idea, who has basically made this app and who has done all the work behind it, I was very excited because I also felt it was very transparent as well, as a medium. So you know that whatever money or whatever goods you intend on giving someone, will reach that person. And you have a validation, you get feedback. That, I feel, is very important," she said. She emphasized that this was the time when everyone should join such causes and help the ones in distress. As per reports, Tamannah has already arranged around 50 tons of food products for the labourers, and the process is on! https://ift.tt/2KuvLyV
