Ajay Devgn's father Veeru Devgan, an accomplished stunt director, passed away on May 27, 2019 after suffering cardiac arrest. From Amitabh Bachchan to Shah Rukh Khan, everyone mourned the loss of the iconic stunt director. Kajol, who was close to her father-in-law, recently shared an emotional tribute while remembering him. Kajol shared a happy photo with Veeru Devgan and wrote, “In happier times...He won the award for a lifetime of achievement on this day but it took a lifetime to prove. The actress has always been close to her in laws. Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi also paid tribute to Veeru Devgan and sent out a letter to Ajay Devgn expressing his grief. Veeru Devgan, who rarely made public appearances, was last seen at the special screening of Total Dhamaal. He was an accomplished stunt director and had worked in films like Inkaar (1977), Mr. Natwarlal (1979), Kranti (1981), Shahenshah (1988), Tridev (1989), Baap Numbri Beta Dus Numbri (1990), among many other iconic films. Veeru Devgan even ventured into direction with 1999 film Hindustan Ki Kasam which starred son Ajay Devgn, Amitabh Bachchan, Manisha Koirala and Sushmita Sen.
