The actress has been MIA for a long time and says she has been working on herself as an actress by doing theatre and even took up acting classes. Now that she is all set to make her comeback, her fans are more than thrilled to have her back. We, at Bollywood Hungama got in an exclusive conversation with her where she spoke about women’s rights and how important she feels educating the youth is. She also feels strongly about how miserable the condition for some women in our country is and says it is because our society is highly patriarchal. She rightly pointed out to the statistics and being a UN ambassador for Free A Girl, she completely supports women empowerment where it is really necessary for us to have a feeling of solidarity as a society. She said, “When I’m criticised, I find that whole issue very hypocritical. We need to talk about these issues and they need to be addressed. Till the women of this country don’t come up to talk about it, India cannot rise and I feel that our country is on the brink of a rise. So, we need both men and women together to address the situation. People are more concerned about the image of India, and I’m a patriot so I wish to see a positive change in the country.” Take a look at the complete segment, right here.
