EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan says Katrina Kaif did NOT really feel bad when his character refused to MARRY her in Bharat (Watch video) EXCLUSIVE: Salman Khan says Katrina Kaif did NOT really feel bad when his character refused to MARRY her in Bharat (Watch video) Salman Khan is basking in the success of Bharat as Ali Abbas Zafar’s offering is raking in moolah at the box office. Salman’s role is no doubt being appreciated in the movie but Katrina Kaif too is getting a lot of accolades for her portrayal of a strong yet vulnerable female lead to Salman. Speaking about her character, Katrina was all praises for the writer and director. Katrina spoke EXCLUSIVELY to Bollywood Hungama about the same and said, “It was so well written. The journey was so well written. What was she thinking, what was she doing, her connect…” She further said that because her character was so well written it allowed her to create an on screen persona with whom people can relate to. Speaking about one particular scene where Salman’s character turns her down, both Salman and Katrina narrated how their individual performances elevated the entire scene. The scene is when the two are eating Shwarma and Katrina asks Salman out for marriage. Salman names the scene as, ‘Meri shaadi ki umar ho gai hai’ Salman further said that the moment when Katrina walks away with tears in her eyes is riveting because it was so high on emotion and then there was a contention that maybe she felt sad that Salman’s Bharat had rejected her, in real life. Salman clarified that and claimed, “She did not feel that, but who performance mai aata hai.” Katrina gave a chuckle to this hinting at their personal history. Katrina went on to add, “I felt that connect to the woman, I felt that connect to this character. And you also try and do that right, as an artiste you have to keep growing, you have to keep bettering yourself. You have to keep evolving as an actor. That is something that I have really believed in.” Also Read: Bharat director Ali Abbas Zafar NEVER writes LOVE scenes between Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, here’s why http://bit.ly/2XL0a11
