“I was the chosen one to do this film” - Arjun Kapoor on his role in India's Most Wanted “I was the chosen one to do this film” - Arjun Kapoor on his role in India's Most Wanted Arjun Kapoor will next be seen in India’s Most Wanted, playing the role of a common man who tries to catch hold of the biggest terrorist in India along with a group of 4 other men. The movie’s special screenings took place a couple of days ago where most of the B-town celebrities graced the event and everybody had positive things to say about Arjun’s movie and his performance. He has never shied away from voicing his opinions, he always makes sure that his roles speak for themselves and he can’t help but be grateful for this opportunity. In an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama, Arjun Kapoor opened up about his role and said, “Emotionally, I definitely found it more difficult, because this is not something I had to charge myself up for, I felt an adrenaline and my blood boiled after reading the script. There comes a point in an entertainers life where you have to go beyond just being an entertainer I think you have to look at the social conscience you have to look in the mirror and say you have the chance to bring awareness be part of something that’s is bigger than you and bigger than you and selling tickets and bigger than being the performer you brought yourself up to be. This was one such film that emotionally charged me and because it is based on a true incident and because we know it has happened, my blood boiled when I read it. I really felt this is the least I can do for our country so it’s a film that I carry with a lot of pride in my heart that I’m the chosen one to do this film.” Continuing to talk about the shoot of the film, Arjun added, “It was emotionally draining, to shoot in these live locations; every time you are talking about a man who has taken 400 lives. You are shooting talking and looking for a man that is responsible for 400 deaths. There is a lot of toxicity that comes with that, every single day; you have to maintain certain calmness while doing it even though you’re playing an aggressive character but you have to have that calmness. So, to channel that correctly, it was very exhausting but I think that is the beauty of being an actor. The clichéd way would be to play it by beating people up but to hold it within yourself and use it to bring intensity without overtly intensifying every dialogue and biting into in, that was challenging for me but I enjoyed it!” Take a look at the complete segment.
