One of them is the evergreen and beautiful Madhuri Dixit. The actress, who began her career at the age of 18, was one of the most successful actresses of her time and continues to win the audiences’ with her stunning visuals and brilliant performances even today. While Madhuri Dixit always grabbed attention for her acting skills and beautiful smile, her dance performances in the films were equally mesmerizing which always left the fans wanting for more. Today, Madhuri Dixit is celebrating her 52nd birthday as wishes pour in from all across the nation. As the actress continues to enjoy her day, we reminisce some of her iconic performances of all time in movies. ‘Tamma Tamma Loge’ from Thanedaar: Clearly, it was the song that several generations have busted out a move or two. Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri chemistry was most talked about in 1990 but it was this song in which Madhuri was absolutely stunning. The song was recreated in Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt starrer Badrinath Ki Dulhania in 2017. ‘Dhak Dhak Karne Laga’ from Beta: This was very unexpected but it created waves. When the song was released featuring Anil Kapoor and Madhuri, the sensuous song was loved by the audience. ‘Choli Ke Peeche Kya Hai’ from Khalnayak: This song was equally the song of the year in 1993 when Sanjay Dutt and Madhuri starred in the film. The actress set the standards for the actresses to be finest in her skills - be it acting or their dance performances. ‘Chane Ke Khet Mein’ from Anjaam: This was the song of the year in 1994. While the Shah Rukh Khan and Madhuri starrer didn't quite work at the box office, this performance by her surely won hearts. Her grace, finesse and beautiful expressions were to die for. ‘Joote Do Paise Lo’ & ‘Didi Tera Dewar Deewana’ from Hum Aapke Hain Koun! The same year in 1994, Madhuri once again gave the audience something to dance on. She starred in the family saga Hum Aapke Hain Koun opposite Salman Khan and their love story was just perfect. While the fans rooted for their chemistry, the film had many songs in which Madhuri shined bright. ‘Joote Do Paise Lo’ & ‘Didi Tera Dewar Deewana’ were the grooviest songs from the film in which the actress proved that she is the dancing queen. ‘Ek Do Teen’ from Tezaab: Madhuri wowed the audience in the year 1998 with her amazing performance in the film. But, what grabbed everyone's attention was 'Ek Do Teen' performance which had the audience swooning for her. The song went onto win Best Choreography Award which was received by veteran choreographer Saroj Khan. ‘Kay Sera Sera’ from Pukaar: In 1999, this was the time when Madhuri busted out those Michael Jackson moves showcasing her new side to the fans. And she perfectly matched her co-partner, choreographer Prabhu Dheva in the song. ‘Dola Re Dola’ & ‘Maar Dala’ from Devdas: Devdas gave the fans a new Madhuri Dixit. The actress essayed role of a courtesan who falls in love with Shah Rukh Khan. As the film was made on a grand scale by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the music was equally enriching. Two of the songs that absolutely grabbed attention were ‘Dola Re Dola’ & ‘Maar Dala’. While the first song was a duet between Madhuri and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, ‘Maar Dala’ happens to be one of her finest performance till date. ‘O Re Piya’ from Aaja Nachle: The actress made her comeback in 2007 with Aaja Nachle which did not fare well at the box office. But, the songs were so beautiful with soothing compositions and deep meaning lyrics, it won hearts. Madhuri's performance on 'O Re Piya' still gives us goose bumps. ‘Ghagra’ from Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani: Madhuri's stint in Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani was definitely the highlight of 2013 when she and Ranbir slayed us with their latkas and jhatkas. She was stunning in the song and it happens to one of our favourites for sure. Special mention to ‘Are Re Are’ from Dil Toh Pagal Hai, ‘Akhiyan Milaoon’ from Raja, ‘Badi Mushkil’ from Lajja, and recently ‘Ghar More Pardesiya’ from Kalank.
