After 32 years, Anil Kapoor hints at collaboration with Mr. India director Shekhar Kapur After 32 years, Anil Kapoor hints at collaboration with Mr. India director Shekhar Kapur Anil Kapoor and filmmaker Shekhar Kapur, in the year 1987, gave one of the biggest hits with Mr. India. The film saw Anil paired up with late Sridevi, his sister-in-law. Till date, it is counted amongst some of best all-time classics. With that being said, the actor has hinted at collaboration with Shekhar Kapur. After 32 years, it seems like Anil Kapoor and Shekhar Kapur will be coming together for a film. Anil shared a candid photo with Shekhar while the latter was adjusting his cap and captioned it, "Feels like déjà vu! @shekharkapur & I are deep in discussion about something new and super exciting! We're hoping to create the same magic we did before with Mr. India...The cap adjustment was lucky then, and it might do the trick this time as well!." Shekhar, too, took to Twitter and wrote, "Discussing the look for the next Mr India 2, or another movie together? You tell them Anil." Mr. India was a story about a poor man Anil who took care of several of his nieces and nephew after his family members passed away. The film's villain Amrish Puri essayed the role of Mogambo which became all-time favourite villain.
