Mohit Raina on Uri – The Surgical Strike, “We knew it would hit the right chord” Mohit Raina on Uri – The Surgical Strike, “We knew it would hit the right chord” Mohit Raina, who will soon be seen debuting in the digital world with his upcoming series Bhaukaal, got in to an exclusive conversation with Bollywood Hungama and it was difficult for me to keep my fan-girl at bay. The actor has spoken about his upcoming projects in the part 1 of this interview, and now, he has addressed the issue that has been going on between India and Pakistan. We also asked him about his feelings regarding the massive success of his debut film, Uri – The Surgical Strike. We asked him if he had expected this sort of reaction from the audiences when he signed for the film and he said, “No, not at all! I don’t think anybody that’s connected with the movie, especially me; we never thought that it would get such kind of a response because we already knew that we are out there to create a project with all honesty. We knew would be appreciated but when it garnered so much love, it was totally unexpected. There comes a time when a project goes beyond numbers, Uri – The Surgical Strike, it’s become an emotion right now. It’s not a number as such.” When asked about his immediate reaction when the movie has entered the Rs. 100 crore-club he confessed, “I don’t really understand numbers and it’s not something that was in our minds as soon as we realised we had done something which was appreciated by the audience we were all very happy and content. We knew it would hit the right chord. In the first 3-4 days the kind of response that we got from the people, we knew it touched the nerve, and from there we knew that there would be know looking back. We all have that patriotic side but in some people it is right there and it was an emotion that needed to be lifted up. So that happened and people have really enjoyed it” Speaking on the recent attacks in Pulwama, as well as the Surgical Strike 2.0, Mohit said, “Well, I think it was inevitable and it had to happen there is always a threshold a point where everybody just say that it’s enough. Also as a country we realised that there was a threshold which was crossed and we had to take an action to globally make people aware that we have been silent till now but now it’s not going to happen anymore. So, I think it was inevitable, but I hope the issues are resolved soon and hopefully everything will be back in order.” Well, what can we say; we’re all the more in love with Mohit Raina!
