"It is my prerogative to talk about my life, my sexuality, my orientation"- Karan Johar "It is my prerogative to talk about my life, my sexuality, my orientation"- Karan Johar There has been a lot of discussion around the sexual orientation of Karan Johar. Though the filmmaker has never publicly said anything, he has often talked about how he gets trolled a lot for it. But, that has never stopped Karan Johar from calling out people who make homophobic statements. Recently, on Arbaaz Khan's chat show Quick Heal Pinch, Karan addressed the level of homophobia exists amongst people. Karan Johar said, “It is my prerogative to talk about my life, my sexuality, my orientation. It is up to me. What I have a problem with is that there's a level of homophobia and that really bothers me because that's to me is sick. I mean you can talk about what you think my sexuality is, that is your prerogative, but if you are commenting and making gay sound bad that's when I have a problem because that means you have a sick mind, an uninformed mind, and an uneducated thought process.” He added, “You can talk about me, but don't make it sound like I have a disease or something is wrong with me and I should shut up because you think I am gay. Then you should shut up because you have no life. That's the way I look at it.” Karan Johar has often talked about how he gets trolled and abused daily on social media. On the show, Karan said that now he finds it hilarious. “Every morning I wake up to abuse and it amuses me,” said Karan. On the show, Karan also said that from being troubled about what people wrote about him on social media to being indifferent, he has now reached a point when he finds humour in it. “Every morning I wake up to abuse and it amuses me,” says the filmmaker. Meanwhile, Karan Johar has an array of projects lined up under his banner including Kesari, Kalank, Student Of The Year 2, Brahmastra, Arunima Sinha biopic, Takht, Rannbhoomi among others.
