“I believe in the director and if he has gone wrong, I have also gone wrong” - Aamir Khan talks about Thugs Of Hindostan's failure “I believe in the director and if he has gone wrong, I have also gone wrong” - Aamir Khan talks about Thugs Of Hindostan's failure After the stupendous success of Dangal and his production Secret Superstar, the audience as always expected Aamir Khan to bring the best to the big screen. With Thugs Of Hindostan, the audience was left disappointed. The film, which starred megastar Amitabh Bachchan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh and was helmed by Vijay Krishna Acharya (Victor), received a lot of negative reviews which led to the failure at the box office. But, Aamir Khan says that it has been a learning experience and moving forward, it will be a lesson for him. The actor has been promoting his production Rubaru Roshni which aired on Star Plus on January 26. During the media interaction on Sunday, Aamir Khan talked about Thugs Of Hindostan’s failure and whether he had forgiven Victor. "I don’t need to forgive Victor. I think every director with who I work with; all directors are good with their good intentions. We all want to make good films but sometimes it doesn’t happen. I’m a team player. If my director has gone wrong somewhere then even I have gone wrong. I believe in the director and if he has gone wrong, I have also gone wrong. There is no problem to accept that. We will learn from our mistakes. The audience has come to watch the film on my name, for that audience, I feel fully and personally responsible," Aamir said. When asked whether the film deserved the unnecessary backlash that came its way, Aamir added, "Many came to me saying that they liked the film. I think the audience has the full right to say exactly what they want and they can be harsh in that criticism, that is their right. If there was a certain amount of harshness, then so be it. It has been a long time that I have not given any flop film (laughs)... good that audience also got a chance to remove their frustration." Meanwhile, Aamir Khan is working on Mahabharat in which he will essay the role of Lord Krishna. While it is unclear whether it will be a movie or a series, the actor has begun prep for the same.
