Actress Savita Bajaj had recently opened up about her financial hardships and inability to pay for her medical treatment. Post her revelation, Vicky Donar actor Ayushmann Khurrana, who heard her plea provided her with financial aid. He transferred the money to her account which helped her get a discharge from the hospital.
The veteran actress had been diagnosed with Covid-19, and had just recovered when she got diagnosed with a lung disease that made it difficult to pay her medical bills. Besides the medical bills, Savita Bajaj also needed oxygen support and actor Sonu Sood stepped in to assist her with the same. However, Bajaj’s woes increased when she was hospitalized due to the lung infection, and was admitted to a hospital for three weeks. Assisting her to clear these new dues, actor Jackie Shroff came forward and transferred money to Savita's account.
Nupur Alankar, care committee member of CINTAA (Cine and TV Artistes’ Association) who was helping out Savita also revealed that after Actress Rajeshwari Sachdeva posted about her on Instagram, Ayushmann noticed it and immediately helped with an amount. Nupur also said that after receiving financial help from actor Ayushmann Khurrana, Savita could be discharged from the hospital. She said that Jackie Shroff also provided money and Sonu Sood donated oxygen concentrator to an ailing Savita. After Savita requested for financial help CINTAA helped her by providing ₹50,000 for medical expenses and has also been giving ₹5,000 for monthly expenses for the past few years.
