While the second schedule has been wrapped up, Sara Ali Khan revealed recently what it is like to shoot Atrangi Re in the coronavirus-induced world. The film went on floors in March this year before the nationwide lockdown was imposed. While the film's first schedule took place in Varanasi, but it was halted amid the pandemic. She said recently that it is strange that now everyone on the set is wearing masks, gloves, and suits in the room. She said it is different now but the passion and enthusiasm with which everyone comes on the set has not changed a bit. Sara Ali Khan said that filmmaker Aanand L Rai has become like a family member and she can turn to him for any kind of help. She said that he has been there for her as her rock. During the lockdown, she would ask him when the next schedule will begin. It was a spectacular experience for her working with him. The actress said that she completed her second schedule and can’t wait for the next one to begin. Aanand L Rai earlier said, “During this lockdown, I've taken out a lot of time to prep up for the upcoming schedules of Atrangi Re. I'm really excited to start the next schedule which is planned to happen in Madurai October onwards and then with Akshay for a month in Delhi and Mumbai, with all the safety precautions of course." Directed by Aanand L Rai, the AR Rahman musical is produced by Colour Yellow Productions and marks the first film in which the trio of Akshay Kumar, Sara Ali Khan, and Dhanush will be seen sharing the screen space. Presented by T-Series, Colour Yellow Productions, and Cape of Good Films, Atrangi Re is written by Himanshu Sharma.
