Being a part of the Nayi Kavita literary movement from the early 20th century, Harivansh Rai Bachchan had a huge impact on Hindi poetry. Amitabh Bachchan usually shares poems written by his father on his social media and this time too, he shared a poem that is close to his heart. From his book, Nisha Nimantran, he shared a poem titled, Raat Aadhi Ho Gayi Hai. The caption read, “Babu ji को याद किया बैठे बैठे, उनकी ‘रचनावली’ खोली , और अचानक इस कविता का पन्ना खुल गया - केवल संजोग ही कहिए इसे !! ये कविता ‘निशा निमंत्रण ‘ से है । Written in 1937-38 .. incredible visionary .. so apt today in the prevailing circumstances .. after 83 years”.
