Chhapaak: Samajwadi Party workers book a theatre to watch Deepika Padukone's film in Lucknow Deepika Padukone's Chhapaak, a biographical drama on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, has released today. While the film itself has got mixed reviews, Deepika's performance has been lauded by the audience and critics alike. Her depiction of a real-life survivor demanded a lot of hard-work and commendable efforts, and looks like it has all paid off. While Deepika's visit to JNU in the light of an attack by masked miscreants on students stirred debate, the Samajwadi Party workers in Lucknow have booked an entire theatre to watch Chhapaak. Congress leader Shailendra Tiwari, on the other hand, has also put up posters of the film, and is urging all to watch it in the theatres. Notably, Deepika spent her 34th birthday at Sheroes Hangout, a cafe in Lucknow, solely ran by acid attack survivors. She also engaged in an extensive conversation with them, listening to stories. She was also joined by husband Ranveer Singh, who's cheering for Deepika and her film all this while. Meanwhile, the actor will also be seen playing a brief role in Ranveer's upcoming release '83. https://ift.tt/2TcvfuU
